Alexander's Jazz Time Band
First Parish of Bolton, 673 Main St, Bolton, MA
Chris is playing rhythm guitar and singing lead w Alexander's Jazz Time Band in a concert in Mendon. It's a tuba instead of a jug; and cornet, clarinet, sax and trombone instead of kazoos, but they play with spirit nonetheless. Led by the parapatetic and indefatigable Alexander Lane, this top-notch big band playing stock charts from the late 20s and early 30s will make an exuberantly joyful noise.

"This group is fantastic! Can I sit in?" -- BSO & Boston Pops bassist

General Admission $20 / $16 Seniors and Students.
Sunday, Nov 24th: 3 to 6 PM
Weston Library Monthly Concert & Jazz Jam
Weston Public Library, 87 School St, Weston, MA 02493
The concert and jam session our guitar player has been leading continues -- on our usual 4th Sunday this month. This month's concert theme is ‘Apolitical Blues’. Our opening 1 hour set will decompress from the post-election mania with a selection of truly worthy apolitical blues songs. The house band this month features James Merenda (p), Miki Matsuki (d), Jon Dreyer (b) and Chris Welles (g, v).
Come down and hear the top notch house band sing and play music from the Great American Songbook; stay to hear an array of talented singers and instrumentalists!

Chris plays piano too. Check out his moody piano/voice demo on Soundcloud!
A Capella Fans: See our guitar player in his incarnation as a Boston Jazz Voices baritone, appear on two episodes of the 4th season of the PBS TV program "Sing That Thing" (Premiere - we're at 10m15s and Episode 7 )!
