Lancaster Summer Concert On The Green

The Friends of Lancaster's Thayer Library sponsors an outdoor concert series at the gazebo (pronounced "gah-zay-bo") on the Town Green Thursday evenings in July. Pull up your lawn chairs and enjoy the sounds of summer. Concert begins at 6:30p.m. We hope to see you there!
Pizza and water for sale by Friends of Seniors at 6 PM. In case of rain, concert will be held inside the First Church, on the Town Green.

Here is a special event you won't want to miss: the marvelous pianist Jacqueline Schwab -- she of Ken Burns Civil Wars soundtrack fame -- in an intimate house concert on a wonderful newly rebuilt grand piano!

"From the soundtracks of Ken Burns documentaries to the White House to the PBS American Roots special with The American Pops Orchestra, pianist Jacqueline Schwab is known for evoking the American musical past, but in a fresh, personal way."

Outrageous Fortune will play an opening set, featuring some of their more vintage (as in 19th and very early 20th Century) music. Suggested donation: $20-25 (all funds go to Ms. Schwab)
